Richard graduated with a degree in commercial music.

Richard most recently was the Musical Director of the 2007 UK tour of Fame. Musical director credits include: the 2005- 2006 UK tour of Grease; Fame (UK tour); Blood Brothers (UK tour); The Rocky Horror Show (UK and European tours).

Assistant musical director credits for theatre include: Our House (Cambridge Theatre, London); Cabaret (European tour).

His commercial credits include: Brian McFadden (BMG) and keyboards for Westlife (TV promo tour); Alsou (Mercury Records).

Richard has composed and arranged music for Old Boy Racers (directed by J Stuart Froude); The Mighty Tykes (directed by Arivind Abraham); Vibrations (directed by Jim Morrissey); Without a Song or a Dance (directed by Maxine Evans).

Additionally Richard has composed and arranged music for The Lover’s Spiral (commissioned by the Royal Ballet School) and Perfectly Frank – Songs From the Rocky Horror Show (commissioned by the Rocky Horror Company).
