Orchestral Management

Stephen studied at the Royal College of Music, London and has been Musical Director or Musical Supervisor to an extensive range of productions. These include Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Cats, Stepping Out, Bat Boy, Jesus Christ Superstar, Fiddler on the Roof, The Pirates Of Penzance, Barnum, My Fair Lady, Hello Dolly, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

Stephen now devotes his time managing Musicians UK Ltd. one of the country’s foremost orchestral management companies. Present productions include Spamalot (London), The Sound of Music (London) and UK tours of Starlight Express, Cats and The Producers. Recent productions include The Producers (London) and all UK tours of Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera and Miss Saigon. Also Saturday Night Fever (London Palladium and tour), Grease (Victoria Palace), Aladdin (Old Vic), Bat Spiderman. In 2002, Simon returned to freelance production management providing services to shows including The Rocky Horror Show, My One and Only, White Folks, Sesame Street Live in Bahrain, Nixon’s Nixon, Vincent in Brixton, The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas, A Little Night Music, The Baker’s Wife, Money to Burn, The Holy Terror, Simply Heavenly, The Witches, Love Shack, The Postman Always Rings Twice, Footloose, The Rocky Horror Show (new production and tour), The New Statesman, the move of Chicago from the Adelphi to the Cambridge Theatre, Guys and Dolls, and most recently Grease. Simon occasionally works for the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art assisting in the training of future technicians, provides production management for themed corporate event companies and is production consultant for European Events Ltd. Boy (West Yorkshire Playhouse and London), Stepping Out (Albery Theatre London), Beauty and the Beast, Singin’ in the Rain, West Side Story, Dr Dolittle, Oliver!, Evita, Black Goes With Everything, Jesus Christ Superstar, My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, Hello Dolly and Pirates of Penzance.

Stephen also works with various leading corporate and concert managements, including West End International, supplying orchestras for their Best Of The West End, Grease – The Concert, An Evening of James Bond and Elaine Paige in Concert.

Cast albums include Saturday Night Fever, Jesus Christ Superstar (20th Anniversary), Stepping Out and Bat Boy – the Musical.
